Holly, textile designer for Città shares her living room styling tips this week!

What is your favourite thing in your living room?
Many years ago I came across a young and emerging photographer Roberta Thornley. As I belong to an art group we decided to purchase two of her works and one of them I currently have hanging in my living room. I love the dark moody feeling it gives me. It's an interesting work that really intrigues me.

How is your living room used most of the time?
For kids, friends, family, reading, relaxing and laundry – its the sunniest room in the house.

What is never missing from your coffee table?
I don't actually have a coffee table, I tend to use stools instead. Usually it's a glass of wine or a cup of tea.

How many cushions & how often do you change them out?
I don't really have a number or change them out all the time. As long as it feels comfortable and cosy.
If I find a few pieces that resonate with my sense of style then I will either evolve what I have or redo it, perhaps once a year.

Can you share a styling tip for the living room?
Do what makes you feel good and happy – have fun and don't be afraid to try something different as it becomes an interesting conversation.
