Fruity twist : cibo x città summer cocktail
There are few things that get us as excited as Cibo’s Arcadia inspired cocktail, contrived from our spring/summer collection. The fresh smell of orange blossom water will hit you before the delicate, edible flowers and soft pink foam catches your eye.
The fresh smell of orange blossom water will hit you before your eyes can play catch up, taking in the the delicate, edible flowers and soft pink foam.
Delicious, fruity, fresh and potent (just how we like our beverages) this will, without a doubt, become your go-to summer drink of choice.
30ml Chartreuse (for warmth, spiciness and body)
30ml Chambord (to give an additional raspberry kick)
20ml Raspberry puree (for that gorgeous pink colour)
45ml Pineapple juice (to create your foamy top layer)
5ml Sugar syrup
A squeeze of lime
2 edible flowers
A sprig of mint (or a few leaves)
A pinch of freeze dried raspberries
Orange blossom water (in a spray bottle)
Measure your liquor, raspberry puree, pineapple juice, sugar syrup and lime into our Oro cocktail shaker 3/4 filled with ice and firmly shake for 15-30 seconds
Using a cocktail strainer, strain the liquid into any glass
Remove the ice from the shaker and add the shaken liquid mixture back in
Firmly shake again for an additional 30 seconds. This is known as a ‘dry’ shake and will foam up your pineapple juice to create your top layer
Pour your dry shaken cocktail mix into a coupe cocktail glass (or cocktail glass of your choice)
Let your glass sit for a minute as the foam won’t immediately appear, but the mixture will separate eventually to form that foamy layer
Top your fresh beverage with edible flowers, a sprig of mint (or a few mint leaves) and a sprinkle of freeze dried raspberries
If you’re feeling theatrical and particularly fancy, spritz orange blossom water over the top of your finished beverage to give that added aroma and touch of citrus zing
