I have really loud curtains in my bedroom – floor to ceiling vertical textured (velvet and linen) bold black silver cream stripes! Really having trouble making them work especially with bed linen and cushions! Ideas would be great.

Here are three rules to help you mix and match bold prints and patterns:
1. Varying sizes
A good way to mix and match bold patterns is to have them in similar tones but varying shapes and sizes. Think thick stripes with delicate patterns. In this case, I would suggest keeping your bed linen simple in a block colour, and playing with patterns and colour with your cushions and throws.

2. Contrasting tones
Another tip is to display contrasting colorways, this works particularly well with monochrome where you can mix a darker patterned cushion with a lighter pattern like the example below using our Condor Cushion Cover and our Totem Printed Cushion Cover. 3. Hero Cushion
Choose a hero cushion such as our striped Frazada Woven Cushion Cover (below) and pull colours from this design for complimentary cushions and accessories. Create a luxe look with tonal accessories in a variety of textures, such as velvet, wool and knit.
